An Optimist Club is a service organization whose members come from the local community and whose primary purpose is to assist youth of that community. Meeting the needs of young people in communities worldwide, Optimist Clubs have been "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" since 1919.

Interested in attending an Optimist Club meeting to find out how you can help the youth in our area? We meet monthly on the third Monday of the month (unless it is a statutory holiday) at  Vernon, BC @ 7:00 pm.  Some of us go earlier for dinner and we welcome you to join us!

The North Okanagan Optimist Club is a member of Optimist International, a non-profit organization whose mission is “to bring out the best in kids”.  More than 86,000 members in over 30 countries work towards this goal. In Canada there are near to 20,000 volunteer members who strive to improve, to participate in, to influence and to contribute to the healthy development of young people.
